Date: 2026-07-23Report reference: KWH-BILL-2026

Estimated monthly electricity bill

The selected consumption tariff and VAT were applied to monthly usage.

Monthly consumption1,189.2kWh
Energy charge214.06 SAR
VAT32.11 SAR
Estimated total246.16 SAR
First-tier usage1,189.2 kWh × 0.18 SAR
Second-tier usage0 kWh × 0.3 SAR
Entered additional fees0 SAR
Calculation method

Consumption = Σ(watts × quantity × daily hours × 30) ÷ 1000, followed by tariff tiers and VAT.

Engineering notes
  • Residential default tariff: SAR 0.18 through 6000 kWh, then SAR 0.30 above it.
  • The actual bill can differ because of meter fees, reading periods, and adjustments.

This is a planning and comparison estimate. Final protection and conductor selection requires review by a licensed engineer or electrician, site-condition checks, manufacturer instructions, and the applicable code.

Quick preliminary design references

Reference values are editable starting points because occupancy, mounting height, product data, and installation method affect the final design.

Frequently asked questions

Before relying on a calculator result

Are the calculator results approved for installation?

They are preliminary planning estimates. Installation requires a licensed engineer or electrician, a site survey, applicable code, and actual product data.

Which Saudi supply voltage is used?

Defaults are 230 V single phase and 400 V three phase at 60 Hz. Voltage remains editable.

How is the lighting quantity calculated?

Design mode compares the lumen-method quantity with the geometric coverage quantity from beam angle and mounting height, uses the larger value, and completes a symmetric layout. Verify mode keeps the entered quantity and recalculates lux and coverage.

Does changing wattage change lux?

With product lumens entered, wattage alone changes energy use. In wattage-estimate mode, lumens = watts × luminous efficacy, so lux and quantity change.

Does changing beam angle change quantity?

In design mode it can change the geometric coverage minimum, especially for narrow beams. It does not change product lumens; final distribution still requires an IES/LDT file.

Does the lighting diagram replace DIALux?

No. It checks preliminary quantity, geometry, dimensions, and spacing. Minimum/maximum values, uniformity, and glare require an IES/LDT file, surface reflectance, and a calculation grid in DIALux or equivalent software.

Is a perimeter spotlight frame with chandelier engineering-valid?

It is common in Saudi living rooms and majlis and can be used when central lumens, maintained illuminance, spacing, and task zones are checked. A decorative chandelier without lumen data is not guaranteed light.

How is exhaust fan capacity selected?

Airflow follows room volume and ACH, then converts to CFM with space minimums, duct pressure, and sound considered.

Can every result be saved separately?

Yes. The PDF button exports only the currently selected calculator and its current result.
